Job summary

AL AHAD INVESTMENTS PTY LTD seeks a full-time Pastrycook who can work independently or as part of a team in a friendly and supportive environment. You will be responsible for quality control of ingredients, pastry dough creation, and decorating a range of tarts, pies, cakes and sweets.

The role also includes stock management, equipment operation, and mentoring new staff. Ideal candidates have at least 1 year of relevant experience, a relevant qualification, and strong communication skills.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Check quality of raw materials and ensure daily consumption needs are met.
• Prepare and bake and decorate all types of tarts, pies, crumbles and cakes, including cheesecake, brownies and caramel slice.
• Make pastry dough and products using forming, loading, baking, unloading, and cooling techniques.
• Stock receiving, re-ordering, and checking expiry dates.
• Operate baking equipment and monitor oven temperatures and pastry appearance to ensure proper bake.
• Clean machines, equipment, trays and work area; maintain clean, organized kitchen.
• Mentor and train new staff.

• Checking the quality of raw materials and ensuring it meets daily consumption requirements
• Making pastry dough and pastry products by using different techniques such as forming, loading, baking, unloading, and cooling
• Preparing and baking and decorating all types of tart, pies, crumbles and cakes, including cheesecake, brownies and Caramel slice, chocolate indulgence
• Stock receiving, re-ordering and checking date of expiry
• Operating machines and monitoring oven temperatures and checking pastry appearance and ensuring it is baked properly
• Cleaning machines and equipment, baking trays, tins and workplace and ensure kitchen remains clean and organized
• Mentoring and Training new staff
