Job summary

Bakers Delight Nowra Fair is seeking a qualified baker to join the bakery team. This full-time role offers roughly 38 hours per week with a roster that may include shifts from 4 AM to 12 PM. We value motivation, energy and a commitment to quality baked goods in a fast-paced setting.

You will prepare and produce bakery items, supervise apprentices, and help maintain safety and hygiene standards across the bakery floor. Training is provided as part of ongoing development.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year experience or Certificate III in Baking advantageous.
• Ability to be available to work across a flexible roster including early mornings.

Responsibilities

• Preparation and production of quality bakery products.
• Inspect equipment and premises before production to ensure OH&S standards.
• Evaluate raw materials and weigh ingredients to maintain quality.
• Mix, knead, mature, cut, mould dough and pastry goods.
• Prepare pastry fillings for various baked products.
• Operate machines for rolling, moulding dough, and cutting biscuits.
• Monitor oven temperatures and product appearance to determine baking times.
• Coordinate forming, baking, cooling and de-panning of bread, rolls and pastry batches.
• Glaze buns and pastries and decorate cakes with icing or cream.
• Clean, grease, and empty baking trays, tins, and equipment after use.

Bakers Delight Nowra Fair is seeking motivated, enthusiastic and energetic Qualified Bakerto join the Bakery.

Key Responsibilities

Preparation and production of quality bakery products to Bakers Delight. Training will be provided for BDH recipe.

Inspect equipment and premises before production to ensure compliance with occupational health and safety standards.

Evaluate raw materials and weigh ingredients to maintain quality standards.

Mix, knead, mature, cut, mould, and shape dough and pastry goods.

Prepare pastry fillings for various baked products.

Operate machines for rolling, moulding dough, and cutting biscuits.

Monitor oven temperatures and product appearance to determine optimal baking times.

Coordinate the forming, baking, cooling, and de-panning of bread, rolls, and pastry

batches.

To be considered for this role you need to be able to meet the following selection criteria.

Ability to be available for work across the 7 days of the week, which may include evening

work and some public holidays (starting times can be as early as 4am)

Work in a fast-paced team environment and communicate with customers and staff.

Abide by company policies and procedures at all times

Train, develop and supervise apprentices and staff in the Bakery Department

Applicants with Minimum of 1 year experience or Certificate III in Baking, as a Baker will have advantage for this role.
