Job summary

Bakers Delight Tuggerah is seeking a qualified baker for a full-time role. The position offers approximately 38 hours per week with a flexible roster, including shifts from 2 am to 10 am.

Responsibilities include preparation and production of bakery items per BDH recipe, quality control, weighing raw materials, dough handling, baking, glaze and decoration, and maintaining cleanliness and safety standards in a fast-paced team environment.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 1 year experience or Certificate III in Baking/Pastry.
• Able to work across seven days, with early starts (2am).
• Work in a fast-paced team and maintain safety standards.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and produce bakery items per BDH recipe.
• Check cleanliness and compliance with health and safety regs.
• Weigh raw materials and ensure quality for baking.
• Knead, mature, cut, mould, mix and shape dough and pastry.
• Prepare pastry fillings and monitor oven temperatures.
• Coordinate forming, loading, baking, cooling of batches.
• Glaze, decorate creams and icings for cakes.
• Operate dough-rolling/moulding machines; trim trays.
• Clean, grease and maintain baking trays and utensils.

Bakers Delight Tuggerah is looking for a qualified baker.

Bakers Delight Tuggerah is pursuing a motivated, enthusiastic, and energetic Qualified Baker to join the Bakery.

Key Responsibilities

• Preparation and production of quality bakery products to Bakers Delight as per BDH recipe.
• Check facility cleanliness and facility operations before production starts to ensure compliance with health and safety regulations.
• Weighing and checking the quality of raw materials for baking.
• Kneading, maturing, cutting, moulding, mixing, and shaping dough and pastry goods.
• Preparation of pastry fillings.
• Monitor oven temperature and product appearance to determine the time for baking.
• Coordination of the forming, loading, baking, unloading, de-panning and cooling of batches of bread, rolls and pastry products.
• Glazing for rolls and pastries, and decoration of creams and icings for cakes
• Operating machine to roll and mould dough and cut biscuits.
• Empty, clean, and grease baking trays, tins, and other utensils

To be considered for this role, you need to be able to meet the following selection criteria.

• Ability to be available for work across the seven days of the week, which may include evening work and some public holidays (starting times can be as early as 2 am)
• Work in a fast-paced team environment and communicate with customers and staff.

• Complete duties as directed by your manager/supervisor
• Abide by company policies and procedures at all times.
• Train, develop, and supervise apprentices and staff in the Bakery Department.
• Have an eye for detail.

Applicants with a Minimum of 1 year experience or Certificate III in Baking/Pastry as a Baker will have an advantage for this role.
