Job summary

Howden Pacific is hiring a QA Engineer to ensure the quality, accuracy and reliability of Howden Bridge, our online quote-and-bind platform. You will work with Technology, Solutions, Operations, Broking and Underwriting teams on new products and releases.

You will develop and execute test plans, perform functional, regression, integration and release testing, document defects, and contribute to test automation and governance.

Qualifications

• Experience in software testing or quality assurance.
• Strong attention to detail and a methodical, analytical approach.
• Can understand business requirements and turn them into effective test scenarios.
• Have a good understanding of software development and testing principles.
• Have strong communication and problem-solving skills.
• Experience with web applications, APIs, automated testing or insurance/financial services (preferred).

Responsibilities

• Developing and executing test plans and test cases for Bridge products and system changes.
• Testing online quote-and-bind journeys end to end, including rating, underwriting rules, referral triggers, workflows and outputs.
• Performing functional, regression, integration and release testing.
• Identifying, documenting and tracking defects through to resolution and retesting fixes before release.
• Working closely with developers and product/configuration teams to investigate issues.
• Supporting user acceptance testing and release readiness.
