Job summary

Howden Insurance Brokers Australia is seeking a Junior Software Engineer to join the Broking Operations team and support the ongoing development of Howden Bridge, our online quote-and-bind platform.

You will build and maintain features across Howden Bridge and related applications, collaborate with experienced engineers, and grow your technical capability through real-world digital insurance products used by the business and clients.

Qualifications

• Experience in software development through employment, study, internships, or projects.
• Good understanding of software development fundamentals.
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Genuine interest in learning and developing technical skills.
• Good communication and collaboration skills.
• Exposure to web development, APIs, databases or cloud technologies is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Developing and maintaining functionality across Howden Bridge and related applications.

• Participating in testing, debugging and release activities.
