Job summary

Howden Insurance Brokers Australia is seeking a QA Engineer to help ensure quality, accuracy and reliability of our digital insurance platform, Howden Bridge, across new products, enhancements and releases.

You will develop and execute test plans and test cases, work with developers and product teams, perform functional, regression, integration and release testing, and contribute to improving QA processes and documentation.

Qualifications

• Experience in software testing or quality assurance.
• Attention to detail and a methodical, analytical approach.
• Understand business requirements and translate them into effective test scenarios.
• Good understanding of software development and testing principles.
• Strong communication and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Developing and executing test plans and test cases for Bridge products and system changes.
• Testing online quote-and-bind journeys end to end, including rating, underwriting rules, referral triggers, workflows and document outputs.
• Performing functional, regression, integration and release testing.
• Identifying, documenting and tracking defects through to resolution and retesting fixes before release.
• Working closely with developers and product/configuration teams to investigate issues.
• Supporting user acceptance testing and release readiness.
• Improving QA processes, testing standards and, where appropriate, test automation.
• Maintaining clear testing documentation and evidence to support quality and governance.
