Job summary

You will manage multi-category procurement, negotiate with suppliers, oversee contracts through renewal, monitor market pricing, and build a nationwide procurement framework with regional teams, while collaborating with Operations, HR, Finance, Legal and IT.

Based in the national head office, you look after procurement for the operational side of an express delivery network and for the professional services that support the business. Day to day, that means sourcing and negotiating with suppliers, managing contracts through to renewal and keeping a close watch on market pricing. You work with Operations, HR, Administration, Finance, Legal, IT and Brand, and you are the main contact for Group Procurement. You also set the national procurement framework and give regional teams the guidance they need.

Key Responsibilities

• Multi-Category Procurement
• Procure express logistics operating supplies and equipment, packaging materials, engineering and works, vehicle leasing and warehousing needs
• Source and consolidate professional service providers across HR, administration, finance, legal, IT, brand and customer service
• Manage the full supplier lifecycle, from sourcing and onboarding through to evaluation, award, performance review and exit
• Monitor supplier performance and apply corrective action or exit mechanisms where required
• Review expiring contracts and lead renewal negotiations
• Conduct detailed cost breakdowns and negotiate in response to market price changes or high quotes, driving savings while expanding and optimising the supplier pool
• Cost Control and Market Insight
• Work with each business unit to understand operational needs, and lead commercial negotiations and contract drafting for key projects
• Build and refine market price monitoring and benchmarking processes, ensuring procurement compliance and managing legal risk
• Cross-Functional Collaboration
• Partner with Operations, HR, Administration, Finance, Legal, IT, Brand and other teams to respond quickly to procurement needs and resolve supplier delivery or service issues
• Act as the key liaison with Group Procurement, providing timely feedback on local matters and implementing Group requirements in Australia
• Regional Guidance and Capability Building
• Build a nationwide procurement and supplier management framework and manage regional procurement risk
• Provide policy and methodology guidance to regional procurement teams, building their capability and supporting their needs

About You

• Solid procurement experience, with a background in express delivery, logistics or e-commerce supply chain highly regarded
• Multi-category procurement experience, with a strong command of supplier management methods and hands-on experience in commercial negotiation, supplier quality control and performance evaluation
• Excellent negotiation, contract risk management and cost analysis skills. An existing network of supply chain or professional services suppliers is an advantage
• Professional proficiency in English and Mandarin, as the role involves regular communication with the Group head office
• Strong cross-functional communication and stakeholder management skills, with leadership potential and the ability to drive collaboration across multiple business lines
• Bachelor's degree or above, preferably in supply chain, logistics management or a related field
