Job summary

Loop Recruitment is seeking a Procurement Manager for Supply Chain & Logistics in Melbourne. You will lead end-to-end sourcing across transport, 3PL, warehousing and materials handling, partnering with senior leaders to shape strategy and delivery.

You will manage a small team, drive category strategies, vendor negotiations and internal communications while delivering value across a large regional network.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in a similar procurement role with a focus on logistics.
• Category experience in logistics (Transport, 3PL, warehousing, pallet handling).
• Organised and analytical mindset.
• Strong Excel and PowerPoint experience.
• Good negotiation and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Run end-to-end sourcing events including market analysis, RFx documentation, evaluation, negotiation and contract implementation.
• Support procurement activities including supplier relationship management, contract management and internal communications.
• Build strong internal relationships with project leaders to maximise efficiency on both internal and supply sides.
• Collaborate with suppliers to maximise value beyond cost reductions.

Procurement Manager - Supply Chain & Logistics

ROLE

As the Procurement Manager for Supply Chain and Logistics in this business, you will be working closely with the senior leaders across operations to understand the current state, developing longer term strategies and delivering on upcoming sourcing events within the vertical. You will manage a team of 1.

This will cover a large region and an assortment of contracts including Transport (Road, Rail, Courier and local shipping), 3PL, Wharf Cartage, Warehousing, Material Handling Equipment and Pallets.

Specifically, you will:

• Run end to end sourcing events including market analysis, RFx documentation creation, evaluation, negotiation, selection and contract implementation
• Support procurement activities including supplier relationship management, contract management and internal communications
• Build strong internal relationships with project leaders to ensure maximum efficiency on both the internal and supply side
• Collaborate with suppliers to ensure the business is maximising value, not only through cost reduction, but also through new products and initiatives

SKILLS & EXPERIENCE

• 5+ years in a similar role within procurement with a focus on Logistics
• Category experience specifically in Logistics categories such as Transport(Road, Rail, Courier and local shipping), Wharf Cartage, 3PL, Warehousing, Material Handling Equipment and Pallets.
• Organised and Analytical mind set
