Job summary

Amazon Web Services (AWS) is seeking an Account Executive to drive growth and deepen relationships within the Australia and New Zealand (ANZ) Public Sector. You will manage a portfolio of strategic government accounts, develop account plans, and deliver revenue targets while helping customers achieve their cloud and AI transformation goals.

Qualifications

• Experience creating and implementing long-term transformational account strategies.
• English-language communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent.
• Experience with end-customer cloud/software sales and partner collaboration.
• Experience developing and executing business with Federal Government or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute account plans for public sector customers, driving revenue growth and cloud/AI adoption.
• Build and maintain relationships with senior stakeholders across government agencies.
• Manage a robust sales pipeline from lead generation through to close.
• Collaborate with Solutions Architects, Professional Services, and Partners to deliver outcomes.
• Identify customer challenges and map AWS solutions to deliver value.
• Navigate government procurement processes including RFx and standing offers.
• Present business reviews to sales leadership regularly.
• Share knowledge and drive process improvements within the team.
• Represent AWS at events and customer meetings.
• Stay informed on public sector trends like digital strategy and AI adoption.
• Meet or exceed quarterly and annual revenue targets.
