Job summary

Amazon Web Services is seeking an Account Executive to drive growth and deepen customer relationships within the ANZ Public Sector. You will support a portfolio of strategic government accounts, develop account plans, and meet revenue targets while guiding customers through cloud and AI transformations.

Collaborate with Solutions Architects, Professional Services, and Partners to deliver measurable outcomes in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

Experience creating and implementing long-term transformational account strategies in a customer-facing role or equivalent.
Experience in English-language communication skills, both written and verbal.
Bachelor's degree or equivalent.
Experience with end-customer sales in the cloud or software industry and a successful track record with consulting or technology partners through account management, program management, and business development.
Experience developing, negotiating and executing business agreements with Federal Government or equivalent.

Responsibilities

Develop and execute account plans for assigned public sector customers, driving revenue growth and cloud and AI adoption.
Build and maintain relationships with senior stakeholders (Director/SES level) across government agencies.
Manage a robust sales pipeline from lead generation through qualification, proposal, negotiation, and close.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams including Solutions Architects, Technical Account Managers, Professional Services, and Partners to deliver customer outcomes.
Identify customer business challenges and map AWS solutions to deliver measurable value.
Navigate government procurement processes including panel arrangements, RFPs/RFTs, and standing offers.
