NEC Corporation in Australia is seeking a seasoned Product Solutions Engineer for Public Safety to lead technical strategy across our public safety portfolio. You will collaborate with Product Managers, Engineering, Pre-Sales and customers to shape architecture and roadmap, delivering innovative solutions for emergency services.

The role requires deep engineering experience, strong SaaS understanding, and the ability to communicate complex concepts to diverse stakeholders while driving delivery

Qualifications

• 10+ years' experience across software, systems, infrastructure or solution engineering environments.
• Significant experience in Solution Architecture, Software Architecture or Senior Software Engineering roles.
• Experience providing technical leadership and influencing technology strategy.
• Strong understanding of SaaS platforms and product-based business models.
• Demonstrated ability to communicate complex technical concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Experience with application integration technologies, APIs, SDKs, messaging technologies, scripting and automation.
• Experience with Microsoft Active Directory and Windows domain environments.
• Working knowledge of Windows Server platforms, Linux/Unix, MySQL and/or MS SQL Server, Virtualisation VMware or Hyper-V.
• Emergency Services, Control Room or Public Safety systems experience.
• Exposure to Computer Aided Dispatch (CAD), critical communications or emergency response systems.
• Knowledge of radio technologies including UHF/VHF, PTToC and P25.
• Experience within PABX, IP Telephony or Contact Centre environments.

Responsibilities

• Act as the technical SME for NEC's Public Safety solutions.
• Define and maintain product and solution architecture standards.
• Develop technical collateral, design guides and demo environments.
• Support product roadmaps and non-functional requirements.
• Engage with customers to gather technical requirements and shape future solutions.
• Support workshops, solution demonstrations, proposals and bid responses.
