Job summary

NEC Australia Pty Ltd. is seeking a Secure Network Engineer to join the Perth team, delivering secure, high-performance networks and handling incidents and changes across enterprise environments.

You will work across data centres and campus networks, implementing robust security measures and collaborating with stakeholders to maintain resilience and performance. Strong communication is essential.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of enterprise networking experience.
• Strong knowledge of enterprise networks and data centres.
• Experience implementing, managing, and troubleshooting Cisco-based secure networks.
• Familiarity with network security appliances (Firewall) from Cisco/Check Point/Palo Alto/Fortinet.
• Experience supporting enterprise wireless networks and SDN environments.

Responsibilities

• Deliver change requests and respond to high-severity incidents.
• Implement robust security measures across enterprise and data centre environments.
• Work with stakeholders to keep networks resilient and compliant.
• Collaborate across a broad technology stack and maintain documentation.
• Engage technical staff and management with clear communication.
