Job summary

Amazon Leo Propulsion Team in Redmond, WA seeks a Manufacturing Functional Technician to support production of propulsion subsystems and flight hardware. You will work across assembly, wiring, and integration tasks, following engineering docs and SOPs.

You will troubleshoot issues, contribute to process improvements, and use MES and SAP for tracking. The role requires hands-on manufacturing experience with flight hardware in a fast-paced, start-up like environment.

Qualifications

• Must be capable of lifting up to 49 lb and standing for long shifts.
• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Minimum 2 years in aerospace/auto manufacturing or flight hardware.
• Experience with electro-mechanical assemblies and final integration.
• Proficient reading and applying engineering drawings and docs.

Responsibilities

• Perform manufacturing, assembly and integration across propulsion subsystems per SOPs.
• Troubleshoot issues and support root cause analysis with engineering teams.
• Conduct inspections with emphasis on quality critical aspects.
• Provide feedback on tooling, consumables, and process observations.
• Assemble first article builds, conduct hardware inspections, document discrepancies.
• Maintain and update SOPs; drive process improvements within scope.
• Support training needs and onboarding for new hires.
