Amazon Leo is seeking a Senior Manufacturing and Automation Engineer to develop, automate, and scale manufacturing for aerospace hardware including PCBA, battery packs, LRUs, and components. This role transforms prototype and manual processes into scalable, reliable production solutions, leading technology-driven process development, automation integration, and production readiness.

Formación

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Industrial Engineering, or related STEM field.
• 5+ years of experience in manufacturing engineering, process development, industrial automation, or production equipment development.
• Experience developing and implementing manufacturing processes, automated equipment, or assembly systems.
• Hands-on experience with industrial automation technologies such as PLCs, robotics, sensors, motion control, or machine vision.
• Experience with troubleshooting and continuous improvement in manufacturing environments.

Responsabilidades

• Manufacturing Process Development: Develop and industrialize processes for PCBA, battery pack, and component assembly.
• Manufacturing Automation: Design and implement automated production systems with robotics, PLCs, and vision.
• Equipment and Tooling Development: Lead design, fabrication, integration, and commissioning of equipment and fixtures.
• Process Capability and Optimization: Apply PFMEA, DOE, SPC, and capability analysis to improve yield and reduce defects.
• Production Scalability: Increase production capacity, reduce cycle time, and support ramp-up.
• Cross-functional Collaboration: Partner with Design Engineering, Quality, and suppliers to improve manufacturability.
