Job summary

The University of Sydney is seeking a Proposal Assurance & Submission Officer to join the Pipeline and Pre-Award team in a fast-paced research environment. This full-time, fixed-term role runs until December 2027 with a base salary of AU$117,133–AU$127,610 plus 17% super.

A hybrid working arrangement is available. You will manage submission services, guide administrators, and ensure compliant funding proposals while maintaining accurate databases and providing regular reports to leadership.

Qualifications

• Administrative experience in a complex, fast-paced environment.
• Excellent negotiation, relationship-building and stakeholder management skills.
• Sound judgement and discretion with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
• High attention to detail and strong problem-solving ability.
• Excellent computer skills including Microsoft Office, databases, Excel and web-based software.

Responsibilities

• Lead the administration submission requirements for allocated schemes.
• Ensure funding proposals and submissions meet quality assurance expectations.
• Maintain an accurate and systematic database of funding proposals and submissions.
• Provide insights, guidance, and regular reporting to the Pipeline and Pre-Awards Teams.
• Contribute to compliance with funding rules and regulatory requirements.
• Support the Research Support Community of Practice through stakeholder management.
