Job summary

The University of Sydney’s Research Pre-Award team is seeking a Proposal Assurance & Submission Officer to manage submission services and support for the Pre-Award group. This full-time, fixed-term role reports to the Associate Director and focuses on coordinating funding proposals and ensuring quality assurance.

You will maintain proposal databases, provide guidance to administrators, and help navigate complex funding rules.

Qualifications

• Administrative experience in a complex and fast-paced environment.
• Excellent negotiating, relationship building and stakeholder management skills.
• Sound judgement, initiative and discretion with the ability to manage multiple priorities concurrently.
• High-level attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent computer skills including Microsoft Office, databases and Excel.

Responsibilities

• Lead the administration submission requirements for allocated schemes by ensuring funding proposal and submission are compliant and meet quality assurance expectations.
• Maintain an accurate and systematic database of funding proposals and submissions.
• Understand the complexities of the submissions environment and provide insights, guidance, and regular reporting to the Pipeline and Pre-Awards Teams.
• Comply with funding rules and regulatory requirements.
• Contribute to the Research Support Community of Practice through trusted stakeholder management.
