Job summary

Department of Transport and Main Roads QLD – Buderim is seeking a property services professional to review complex documentation, advise on land transactions, and QA processes to mitigate risk. You will lead Program Support Officers, teach best practices, and maintain data integrity in the Property Tracking Register.

You will engage with internal and external clients, manage resumption packages, and ensure compliance with legislation and policy. A criminal history check is required.

Qualifications

• Apply property and legislative knowledge to ensure land transactions are managed in accordance with relevant legislation, policies and procedures.
• Deliver high-quality property services through the review, QA and administration of complex property documentation.
• Build and maintain effective stakeholder relationships by providing professional advice and clear communication with internal and external customers.
• A criminal history check will be undertaken prior to appointment to the role.

Responsibilities

• Review the work undertaken by Program Support Officers to guarantee the accuracy and integrity of Notices of Intention to Resume, Applications to the Minister and related property documents.
• Provide advice to the Principal Officer (Geospatial Information) and the Manager (Technical Services) on land transaction matters, practices and processes.
• Participate in QA processes to ensure compliance with legislation and departmental policy to minimise risks.
• Source property-related data from government portals, other TMR teams or external agencies on regional requests.
• Prepare complex resumption and early acquisition packages and associated documentation, including necessary searches and liaison with clients.
• Ensure data integrity in the region's Property Tracking Register.
• Assist in preparing high level correspondence and documentation on property issues, including memorandums to the Minister.
• Coach, train and mentor Program Support Officers to maintain staff skills and knowledge.
