Job summary

Department of Transport and Main Roads QLD – BuderimQld is seeking a permanent full-time procurement professional to manage end-to-end procurement activities in the North Coast Region. You will provide policy-aligned advice, engage with internal/external stakeholders, and contribute to process improvements within a large transport infrastructure program.

Qualifications

• Understands procurement policies and planning to undertake procurement activities.
• Shows careful planning and organisation to achieve results with reporting.
• Analyses information to proactively identify risks and mitigations.
• Communicates succinctly with stakeholders and adapts to audience.
• Shares ideas and data to inform service delivery and new solutions.

Responsibilities

• Deliver assigned work and provide procurement advice in line with policy and processes.
• Monitor end-to-end procurement activity including planning, documentation, evaluation and supplier negotiation.
• Provide professional advice to North Coast Region staff on procurement activity.
• Liaise with internal and external stakeholders on procurement processes and training.
• Assist with contract management, accounts payable and reporting.
• Identify and implement improvements to procurement processes and systems.
• Support complex procurement projects with administrative support and progress reporting.
• Contribute to a culture of performance and continuous improvement.
• Operate within Queensland Public Service Code of Conduct and WHS policies.
