Job summary

Department of Transport and Main Roads QLD – Cairns QLD is seeking an Advisor (Property & Corridor) to provide specialist property advice to support transport infrastructure planning and project delivery in the Far North District.

You will coordinate land transaction information, support acquisitions and disposals, interpret legislation, and collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to ensure compliant, customer-focused outcomes.

Qualifications

• Specialist property knowledge
• Strong communication skills
• Ability to interpret legislation and policy
• Experience with land acquisitions and corridor matters
• Ability to prepare reports and briefs
• Knowledge of transport corridor requirements

Responsibilities

• Coordinate property, land transaction and project information for timely acquisitions, disposals and land management.
• Provide specialist advice to project managers and stakeholders on resumptions, acquisitions, disposals and corridor matters.
• Interpret and apply legislation, policy, procedures to ensure compliance.
• Research and prepare reports, briefs, and correspondence relating to transport corridors and land issues.
