Job summary

Alche Group is seeking a practical, energetic all-rounder for a field-based role across Sydney. You’ll work across properties by area, handle practical issues as they arise and keep each house functional, organized and well presented.

You won’t be deskbound or writing reports. You’ll use common sense, organise your day and get things done, collaborating with cleaners, trades and residents to maintain a growing portfolio. A valid Australian driver’s licence is required.

• Experience in property maintenance or facilities is useful.
• Attitude, reliability and initiative are highly valued.
• Able to move and assemble furniture.
• Comfortable using basic hand tools.

What you’ll be doing

Your day could include:

• Basic property maintenance and upkeep

• Moving and assembling furniture

• Cutting and organising keys

• Helping with property access and lockouts

• Purchasing and replacing household items

• Troubleshooting basic Wi‑Fi/internet issues

• Helping set up new properties

• Helping clear properties when we exit them

• Meeting cleaners, handymen and trades

• Checking that jobs have been completed properly

• Tidying gardens and outdoor areas

• Improving the presentation of common areas

• Decluttering properties when required

• Removing rubbish or bulky items when needed

• Minor surface cleaning where appropriate

• Taking simple before-and-after photos once work is complete

You are not expected to be a qualified tradesperson. We already work with experienced handymen and qualified trades for specialist repairs.

What we’re looking for

You’ll probably enjoy this role if you:

• Work quickly without cutting corners

• Notice when something is out of place or needs attention

• Can use basic hand tools

• Are comfortable moving furniture and doing physical work

• Communicate well with residents, cleaners and trades

• Don’t need constant instructions or supervision

• Are reliable and organised

• Hold a valid Australian driver’s licence

Experience in property maintenance, facilities, hotels, accommodation, removals, labouring, landscaping or similar work is useful, but attitude, reliability and initiative are more important than qualifications.

• $35–$38 per hour + super, depending on experience

• Vehicle support, either a company vehicle or allowance depending on the arrangement
