Job summary

Strathfield Council is seeking a motivated Project Support Officer to help deliver place activation, town-centre improvements, events and grant-funded projects that foster vibrant public spaces and local economic growth.

You will collaborate across Council and with external partners to plan, engage and report on projects, ensuring timelines and grant requirements are met with a high level of professionalism and integrity.

Qualifications

• Tertiary qualifications in Project Management, Events, Economic Development, Engagement or a related discipline
• Demonstrated experience coordinating projects with multiple workstreams, stakeholders, and deadlines
• Strong organisational skills, with the ability to maintain work plans and competing priorities

Responsibilities

• Coordinate place-making projects in line with schedules, funding requirements and guidelines
• Support planning, implementation, trial activations, evaluation and acquittal activities
• Monitor progress, actions, dependencies and risks
• Coordinate site requirements to support delivery
• Engage with local businesses, community members and stakeholders
• Prepare and maintain project documentation, progress reports and grant records
• Monitor expenditure and support grant reporting
• Analyse data to evaluate outcomes and identify improvements
