Job summary

Strathfield Council is seeking a motivated Project Support Officer to join our team. This temporary, part-time role (21 hours per week) supports place activation, town-centre improvements, events and grant-funded projects to boost public spaces and local economic development.

You will coordinate multi-workstream projects with stakeholders, prepare reports and grant records, monitor budgets and risks, and contribute to a positive, values-led workplace culture.

Qualifications

• Experience coordinating projects with multiple workstreams and deadlines.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills; ability translate data into action.
• High level of organisation with ability to manage plans and competing priorities.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate place-making projects in line with schedules and guidelines.
• Support project planning, activation, evaluation and acquittal activities.
• Monitor project progress, actions, dependencies and risks.
• Coordinate site requirements to support delivery.
• Engage with local businesses, community members and stakeholders.
• Support consultation and stakeholder engagement activities.
• Prepare and maintain project documentation and grant records.
• Monitor expenditure and assist with financial and grant reporting.
• Collect and analyse data to evaluate outcomes and opportunities for improvement.
