Job summary

Strathfield Council in Sydney's Inner West seeks a motivated Project Support Officer to help deliver place activation, town-centre improvements, events and grant-funded projects that boost public spaces and local economic development.

You will coordinate across Council and with external stakeholders, manage project planning, monitoring and reporting, and contribute to a positive, high-performing workplace culture under our PROUD values.

Qualifications

• Tertiary qualifications or extensive industry experience in related fields.
• Experience coordinating projects with multiple workstreams and deadlines.
• Ability to prepare clear reports, briefings, and grant documentation.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate place-making projects in line with schedules and funding.
• Support planning, implementation, activations, evaluation, and acquittals.
• Monitor progress, actions, dependencies and risks.
• Coordinate site requirements to support delivery.
• Engage with local businesses, community members and stakeholders.
• Support consultation, communications and stakeholder engagement activities.
• Prepare project documentation, progress reports and grant records.
• Monitor expenditure and support grant reporting.
• Analyse data to evaluate outcomes and identify improvements.
• Demonstrate strong organisation and ability to manage multiple priorities.
