Job summary

Strathfield Council in Sydney's Inner West is seeking a motivated Project Support Officer to join our team. You will support the delivery of place activation, town-centre improvements, events and grant-funded projects that contribute to vibrant public spaces, community participation and local economic development.

You will work with Council and external stakeholders to coordinate planning, engagement, implementation, monitoring and reporting, upholding PROUD Values—People First, Respect,

Qualifications

• Tertiary qualifications in PM, Events, or related field.
• Experience coordinating multi-workstream projects.
• Strong organisational skills and ability to manage priorities.
• Effective stakeholder engagement and facilitation.
• Knowledge of governance, procurement, and budget monitoring.
• Experience administering NSW Government grants or reporting.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate place-making projects with schedules, funding and guidelines.
• Support planning, implementation, evaluation and acquittal activities.
• Monitor progress, actions, dependencies and risks.
• Coordinate site requirements to support delivery.
• Engage with local businesses, communities and stakeholders.
• Support consultation and communications activities.
• Prepare and maintain reports and grant records.
• Monitor expenditure and support grant reporting.
• Analyze data to evaluate outcomes and improvements.
• Coordinate governance, risk, procurement, and budget processes.
