Job summary

Ivory Group is recruiting a Project Officer for a local council in Sydney. The role delivers Building & Civil projects, liaises with stakeholders, and manages initiatives from initiation through to administration, ensuring time, cost and quality targets are met.

35-hour week with flexible start/finish times, day from home option, and potential extension or transition to permanent. Requires qualifications in Project Management, Construction and/or Engineering and procurement experience.

Qualifications

• Qualifications in Project Management, Construction and/or Engineering are required.
• Experience in procurement and project delivery.
• Exposure to Building, Open Space, Public Domain and Recreational projects desirable.

Responsibilities

• Procure contracts and consultants within budget and timeframe.
• Develop project briefs, specifications and tender documents.
• Liaise with stakeholders to deliver projects on time per contracts.

ABOUT THE COMPANY

Join a local council as a Project Officer. Local Government offer 35 hours per week, flexible start and finish times, and stability in contract roles with potential for extension or transition into a permanent role.

ABOUT THE POSITION

As a Project Officer, you will develop a high level of professional and technical support in delivering Councils Building & Civil projects, including liaising with internal and external stakeholders, manage the delivery of projects including initiation, development, construction, contracts supervision and administration to the agreed time, cost and quality.

DUTIES

• Procure contracts and consultants within the designated budget and timeframe
• Develop project briefs, specifications and tender document
• Liaise with stakeholders to effectively deliver projects on time in accordance to contracts managementPrepare scope of works throughout all concepts

SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE

• Qualifications in Project Management, Construction and/or Engineering is required
• Experience within procurement and project delivery
• Building, Open Space, Public Domain and Recreational project exposure is highly desirable
• Driven and adaptable individual who is eager to learn and develop new skills
