Job summary

Ronin Dynamics Pty Ltd in Canberra is seeking a Project Manager for Security & Infrastructure on a day-rate contract. You will lead multiple technical delivery initiatives, spanning network, hosting environments, and security controls, ensuring they are scoped, scheduled and resourced.

You will own each project's arc: costs, timing, risks, and stakeholder communications. You will manage a mix of permanent and contract staff, plus suppliers, aligning incentives and dependencies to deliver

Qualifications

• A decade of technical delivery leadership.
• Comfortable managing several projects simultaneously.
• Proven track record enforcing governance controls.
• Degree in a technical field and a recognised project management certification.

Responsibilities

• Oversee security and infrastructure projects from initiation to close.
• Define scope, schedule, cost, and risk for each initiative.
• Coordinate internal teams and external suppliers and stakeholders.

Project Manager, Security & Infrastructure | Day Rate Contract | Canberra

Most project manager ads are interchangeable. Here is what actually makes this one different.

You would not be running one project. You would be running several, and they would not politely queue up.

The work

Security uplift, delivered properly. The unglamorous foundations: the network, the hosting environments, the controls layered over both. Some of it will be scoped and ready. Some will arrive as a sentence in an email and become yours to shape.

You would own the whole arc of each one. What it costs, when it lands, what could sink it, and who needs telling before it does.

The people

You would lead a team where some people are permanent and some are only around until the project closes. Different loyalties, different incentives, all needing to move together.

Add suppliers who have signed up to things they now need reminding of, and senior stakeholders who would rather hear a problem early than a reassurance that turns out to be wrong.

You

• A decade or so running technical delivery, with genuine infrastructure and security depth behind you
• Comfortable carrying several projects at once without any of them quietly slipping
• Track record somewhere the controls are enforced rather than suggested
• Degree in a technical field, and a recognised project management certification
