Job summary

JDM Air is seeking an experienced Project Manager / Estimator to join our growing builders and light commercial division. This role manages HVAC projects from tender submission through to completion, coordinating with builders, site supervisors, suppliers, and installation teams to deliver on time and within budget.

The role requires strong organisational and communication skills, 3+ years in HVAC estimating or project management, and a current driver\'s licence.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years' experience in HVAC estimating and/or project management.
• Strong understanding of residential and light commercial air conditioning systems.
• Experience pricing projects from plans and specifications.
• Ability to read and interpret construction drawings.
• Experience dealing directly with builders and construction teams.
• Excellent organisational and communication skills.
• Current Driver's Licence.

Responsibilities

• Prepare HVAC tenders and detailed quotations from plans and specifications.
• Conduct site inspections and project assessments.
• Review construction drawings and mechanical requirements.
• Prepare equipment schedules and material take-offs.
• Order equipment, accessories, and project materials.
• Coordinate installation schedules and labour requirements.
• Liaise with builders, site supervisors, and project stakeholders.
• Manage RFIs, variations, and project changes.
• Support installation crews with project requirements and technical information.
• Monitor project budgets, timelines, and delivery milestones.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with builders and key clients.
