Job summary

Lead Group in Sydney is seeking a Junior Project Manager to take ownership of small to mid-sized commercial HVAC projects, with strong support from experienced Senior PMs.

You’ll move from planning to delivery, coordinating subcontractors and clients, while developing into a full Project Manager within a growing team. This hybrid role splits time between the office and on-site locations and offers a clear career path.

Qualifications

• HVAC / mechanical services experience required.
• Trade-qualified, engineering-qualified, or strong site-based background.
• Open to Leading Hands or Site Supervisors seeking to step off the tools.
• Project Engineers or Junior PMs encouraged to apply for greater responsibility.
• Good understanding of commercial HVAC installations and project delivery.
• Comfortable coordinating subcontractors and dealing with clients/builders.
• Strong communication and organisation skills.
• Motivated to develop into an established Project Manager.

Responsibilities

• Manage commercial HVAC projects from planning through to completion.
• Projects valued up to $1.5M.
• Deliver fit-outs, chiller replacements, cooling tower upgrades and new installations.
• Coordinate subcontractors, suppliers, builders and clients.
• Manage programmes, site progress, costs and delivery.
• Work across HVAC systems including chillers and fire upgrades.
• Split time between the office and project sites.

A great opportunity for a Junior Project Manager to join a well-established commercial HVAC contractor in a newly created role due to continued growth.

This position would suit someone currently working as a Leading Hand, Site Supervisor, Project Engineer or Junior PM who is ready to take the next step into full project management.

You’ll join an experienced projects team with three established Senior Project Managers and have plenty of support while taking ownership of smaller commercial HVAC projects valued up to approximately $1.5M.

The role
