Job summary

The Talon Group in Melbourne is seeking an Assistant Project Manager to support the delivery of commercial HVAC projects. This hands-on role is ideal for someone coming from Project Administration, Project Coordination or a junior PM looking to progress to a Project Manager position.

You will work closely with experienced Project Managers and Construction Managers, handling planning, procurement, budgeting, stakeholder communication and documentation to help projects run on time and to budget.

Qualifications

• Experience in Project Administration, Project Coordination or a Junior Project Management role.
• Exposure to HVAC, mechanical services or building services projects.
• Strong organisational and time management skills.
• Sound financial and commercial awareness.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities.
• Experience working with project documentation, procurement and reporting.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and project management software.
• A qualification in Construction Management, Engineering, Business or a related discipline (or currently studying).

Responsibilities

• Assist with project planning, scheduling and coordination.
• Support procurement of subcontractors, materials and equipment.
• Track budget, forecast and cost control.
• Assist with variations, claims and project financial administration.
