Job summary

Epic Air Commercial Pty Ltd – Melrose Park NSW is seeking a Mechanical Engineer/Estimator to join the design team. The role focuses on tender submissions, estimating from construction drawings, and producing costed proposals for HVAC projects.

Ideally you hold a Mechanical Engineering degree (HVAC) and have 3+ years in engineering/estimating, with AutoCAD proficiency and a current White Card. The position is based in Melrose Park and offers career growth within a reputable HVAC contractor.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering (HVAC) required.
• Minimum 3 years' industry experience in engineering and estimating.
• Proficient with AutoCAD.
• Current White Card and relevant site knowledge.

Responsibilities

• Prepare tender submissions and estimations from mechanical construction drawings.
• Prepare estimates, quantities, prices and costing for projects.
• Interpret specifications and mechanical drawings and standards to assess impact on project costs.
• Attend client and tender review meetings.
• Inspect designs and completed projects to ensure adherence to specifications and regulatory standards, maintaining high quality and safety.
• Work with engineering software programs to deliver design drawings and heat loads.
• Create relevant documentation for clients inc. Asbuilts, O&M manuals and installation certificates.
• Conduct site inspections and assist with design amendments and variations.

Qualifications & experience

• Tertiary qualification in Mechanical Engineering (HVAC)
• Minimum of 3 years' industry experiencein engineering and estimating
• Technical knowledge of mechanical designs
• Current White Card

• Attention to detail with a proactive approach to problem-solving
• Excellent communication and customer service skills
• Able to work independently and as part of a team
