Job summary

Lead Group in Brisbane is seeking an experienced HVAC Leading Hand or Site Manager eyeing a move into project management. The role supports a growing commercial HVAC contractor and will initially manage one sizeable project.

You'll work on high-rise and multi-residential builds, read drawings, coordinate trades, manage budgets and deliver on time and safety. A genuine pathway into project management awaits the right candidate.

Qualifications

• Trade background in HVAC/mechanical services.
• Experience as Leading Hand / Site Manager / Site Supervisor / Junior PM.
• Strong commercial HVAC installation and site coordination experience.
• Able to read mechanical drawings and specifications independently.
• Confident managing subcontractors, site crews and project stakeholders.
• Good communication, organisation and problem-solving skills.
• Ready to step into a project-focused role and build a long-term PM career.

Responsibilities

• Assist in the delivery of commercial HVAC projects across Brisbane.

Are you an experienced HVAC Leading Hand, Site Manager or Site Supervisor ready to step into project management?

This is a newly created role with a growing commercial HVAC contractor in Brisbane. Due to continued growth, they are looking for someone with strong site experience and solid mechanical knowledge who is ready to progress into a Junior Project Manager position.

You will report directly to the Construction Manager and initially manage one sizeable commercial project, with project values typically ranging from $2m–$4m, and general project values across the business sitting around $2m–$8m.

The role:

• Assist in the delivery of commercial HVAC projects across Brisbane
• Work on high-rise and multi-residential new build projects
• Coordinate site teams, subcontractors, suppliers and trades
• Read and interpret mechanical drawings, specs and project documentation
• Support project budgets, materials, scheduling, variations and delivery
• Liaise with builders, clients, internal teams and the Construction Manager
• Help ensure projects are delivered safely, on time and within budget

Projects and systems:

• High-rise and multi-residential projects
• New build environments
• D&C and construct-only projects
• Chillers, VRV systems and water-cooled systems
• Projects typically valued between $2m–$8m

About you:

• Trade background in HVAC/mechanical services
• Currently working as a Leading Hand, Site Manager, Site Supervisor or Junior PM
