JE Mech Technologies Pty Ltd – Ballarat VIC is seeking a capable Project Manager to lead commercial HVAC and mechanical projects across Victoria and Australia. The role is primarily Ballarat-based with site visits.

You don’t need to be an experienced Mechanical Project Manager; with strong construction experience, you can develop the technical and commercial skills with our training and support. This position offers career progression into senior management as the business grows.

Qualifications

• Candidate from construction background with focus on project delivery.
• Formal project management qualifications are not essential.
• Must be able to communicate well, stay organised, manage people, think practically, solve problems and take responsibility.

Are you a Project Manager looking for your next opportunity — or a Supervisor, Foreman or experienced tradesperson ready to step off the tools and move into project management?

JE Mech Technologies is looking for a capable, driven person to join our Ballarat team as a Project Manager, delivering commercial HVAC and mechanical projects across Victoria and Australia.

You don't need to already be an experienced Mechanical Project Manager.

If you have strong construction experience, can manage people, organise work, solve problems and take ownership, we can provide the training and support to develop the technical and commercial skills you need to succeed in the role.

This is a primarily Ballarat-based position, with site visits throughout Victoria and occasional interstate travel.

The Role

You'll take ownership of commercial projects from planning through to completion, working closely with our team, subcontractors, suppliers, builders and clients.

• Planning, programming and coordinating commercial projects
• Managing employees, subcontractors and suppliers
• Monitoring project budgets, costs and commercial performance
• Coordinating labour, materials and procurement
• Reading and working from construction drawings and specifications
• Liaising with builders, clients and consultants
• Managing project documentation and reporting
• Resolving site and project issues as they arise
• Driving projects through to completion

This isn't a role where you'll simply be handed a checklist. You'll be expected to take ownership, make decisions and manage your projects, with support from an experienced team around you.

Who We're Looking For

We're open to candidates from different construction backgrounds.

You may currently be:

• A Project Manager looking for greater responsibility and opportunity
• A Site Supervisor or Foreman ready to move into project management
• An experienced tradesperson wanting to step off the tools and progress into management
• Working within plumbing, refrigeration, HVAC, fabrication or mechanical construction

Formal project management qualifications are not essential.

We're more interested in someone who can communicate well, stay organised, manage people, think practically, solve problems and take responsibility for getting things done.

Commercial construction experience is important, while experience in mechanical plumbing, refrigeration, HVAC or fabrication will be highly regarded.
