Job summary

Lead Group in Melbourne is seeking an experienced HVAC Estimator/Engineer to join our growing mechanical services team. You will prepare cost estimates, tender submissions and project pricing for a range of commercial and industrial HVAC and refrigeration projects.

You will work closely with project managers, suppliers and operations to support delivery from conception through handover, ensuring accuracy, value engineering and timely submissions.

Qualifications

• Experience in HVAC, mechanical services or refrigeration estimating.
• Minimum 5 years' experience preparing estimates and tenders within HVAC.
• Strong understanding of commercial mechanical services systems and project delivery.
• Excellent attention to detail and analytical skills.
• Strong communication and stakeholder management abilities.
• Proficiency with estimating software and MS Office Suite.
• Mechanical services qualification, engineering qualification or trade background highly regarded.
• Full Australian working rights.

Responsibilities

• Review drawings and specifications to prepare accurate cost estimates.
• Develop detailed quotations and tender submissions for commercial HVAC and refrigeration projects.
• Liaise with suppliers, subcontractors and internal stakeholders to obtain pricing and scope information.
• Identify value engineering and cost-saving opportunities where appropriate.
• Maintain estimating databases, supplier pricing schedules and project records.
• Support project handovers and procurement activities to ensure a smooth transition into delivery.
• Assist with technical reviews and project planning activities.

An established mechanical services contractor is seeking an experienced HVAC Estimator / Engineer to join their growing team.

With a strong reputation in the commercial building services sector and a healthy pipeline of secured work, this position offers the opportunity to play a key role in the successful delivery of HVAC and refrigeration projects across a diverse range of commercial and industrial environments.

Working closely with project managers, suppliers and operational teams, you will be responsible for preparing accurate cost estimates, tender submissions and project pricing while supporting successful project delivery from conception through to handover.
