Job summary

Geyer Valmont in Melbourne seeks a Project Manager to lead commercial fit-out projects from inception to handover. You will steer a team of Contract Administrators and Site Supervisors, owning financial outcomes and client relationships.

You will drive margin, cash flow, WIP and debtors while mentoring staff and resolving disputes. This role demands end-to-end delivery with accountability and strong leadership.

Qualifications

• Degree in Construction Management or similar; 3–5 years D&C experience in commercial fit-out.
• Experience as Contract Administrator; contract analysis, negotiation, budgeting and accounts.
• Strong commercial acumen with track record of delivering margins.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills; strong client relationships.
• In-depth knowledge of safety, quality and environmental requirements.

Job description

As Project Manager, you'll lead our Melbourne fit-out projects from inception to completion. You'll lead a team of Contract Administrators and Site Supervisors. You'll own the outcome, not just the process.

You’ll manage each project's financial performance - GP, cash flow, WIP and debtors - and be accountable for hitting margin. You’ll keep every project moving, from startup through handover, with real rigour. You’ll be the client's key point of contact, building the kind of relationship that brings them back for the next project. And you’ll lead your Contract Administrators' development, mentoring them and stepping in to resolve disputes when they arise.

It's a role built for someone ready to run projects end-to-end and lead the people delivering them, with real accountability, real financial ownership, and a team who look to you.

YOU WILL

• Lead, plan and schedule projects from inception to completion, ensuring safe, on-budget delivery

WHO ARE WE LOOKING FOR

• Degree in Construction Management or similar, with 3-5 years D&C experience in commercial fit-out and refurbishment.


• Experience as a Contract Administrator or similar, with demonstrated skills in contract analysis and negotiation, budget preparation and accounts management. Experience with Procore or similar systems is highly desirable.


• Strong commercial acumen and financial discipline, with a track record of delivering projects at or above target margin.


• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with a demonstrated ability to maintain strong client relationships and consistently meet client expectations.


• In-depth knowledge of safety, quality and environmental legislative requirements.


• A genuine team player that can contribute to a high-performing team culture.
