Job summary

Geyer Valmont is seeking an experienced Interior Designer to contribute to client briefing, develop design concepts, and deliver construction-ready documentation. You will present concepts to clients with clarity and grow toward independent, commercially aware practice within GV.

You will work with Revit, Enscape, AutoCAD, and Adobe Creative Suite, applying HSEQ standards and collaborating across teams. Sydney offices offer growth and mentorship.

Qualifications

  • Tertiary qualification in Interior Design, Architectural Design or related discipline.
  • 2–3 years' experience in commercial interior design.
  • Strong ability to visually communicate design ideas from early sketches to final presentations.
  • Strong design and visualisation skills, including hand sketching.
  • Demonstrated experience in Revit, Enscape, AutoCAD and Adobe Creative Suite.
  • Solid understanding of building codes, quality standards and documentation requirements.
  • Sound project management skills and attention to detail.
  • Strong collaboration skills, with the ability to work autonomously and as part of a team.

Job description

As an Interior Designer, you'll contribute to briefing on your own projects. You'll ask the questions that surface a client's real goals, budget and constraints. You'll develop design concepts with growing independence. You'll carry your own rationale through to construction-ready detail.

You'll prepare coordinated documentation to GV's standard. You'll present concepts and project updates to clients with real clarity. You'll build a working understanding of cost planning, fee structures and variations. You'll manage client expectations day-to-day and help build the relationships that generate repeat work. And you'll learn from senior designers every step of the way, with mentorship and feedback built into how you grow.

It's a role built for someone ready to grow from strong technical designer into a confident, commercially aware Interior Designer. You'll get real autonomy, real mentorship, and a clear path toward the next step in your career at GV.

Who We Are Looking For

This role will suit someone experienced in commercial interior design, who can work flexibly and is committed to continual growth and improvement.
