The Role:

We’re looking for a Project Manager who is comfortable being much more than a traditional project coordinator.

Our Project Managers are hands‑on delivery consultants who lead Project and Portfolio Management (PPM) implementations from sales handover through delivery, UAT, hypercare and transition to support. You’ll own the client relationship and the commercial delivery of the engagement, while also working closely with consultants and developers to shape what gets delivered and how.

This means wearing multiple hats. On any given engagement, you may be facilitating a requirements workshop, refining user stories with the delivery team, running sprint planning or a client review, supporting UAT, demonstrating new functionality, delivering training, or helping a client work through a difficult scope or priority decision.

You do not need to be a developer, but you do need to be technically curious and comfortable understanding the solution you are delivering. You should be able to work confidently across both business and technical conversations, ask the right questions, and know when deeper technical input is required.

Our delivery environment moves quickly. You may work across multiple client engagements at the same time, often using short sprint cycles, so you will need to be comfortable making decisions, managing competing priorities and keeping both clients and delivery teams moving.

Key responsibilities
  • Own client engagements from sales handover through delivery, UAT, hypercare and handover to support.
  • Lead the overall project, including scope, schedule, budget, governance, risks, issues, resourcing and change control.
  • Build strong client relationships and confidently manage conversations around priorities, scope, timelines, commercial boundaries and delivery risk.
  • Facilitate discovery and requirements sessions, helping clients move from business needs and ideas to clear, actionable requirements.
  • Work with clients, consultants and developers to shape requirements into delivery‑ready user stories and acceptance criteria.
  • Maintain a healthy and prioritised delivery backlog using tools such as Azure DevOps, Jira or equivalent platforms.
  • Support sprint-based delivery, including backlog grooming, sprint planning, sprint reviews, UAT, defect management and release coordination.
  • Understand the solution being implemented well enough to connect business requirements with technical delivery and identify potential dependencies or impacts.
  • Facilitate client workshops, demonstrations, knowledge‑transfer sessions and, where required, end‑user or train‑the‑trainer sessions.
  • Help clients make informed trade‑offs where scope, time, cost or quality are competing.
  • Escalate risks early and clearly, bringing practical options and recommendations rather than simply identifying problems.
  • Work effectively across multiple concurrent client engagements and adjust priorities as delivery needs change.
  • Support pre‑sales activities, including discovery conversations, demonstrations, solution discussions, estimates and proposal input where required.
  • Contribute lessons, ideas and practical improvements that help Sensei strengthen its delivery approach and PPM capability.
Sound interesting? Here’s the key skills set you’ll need to qualify:
  • 3–5+ years’ experience leading technology implementation, consulting or vendor‑led delivery engagements.
  • Strong project management fundamentals and an understanding of Project and Portfolio Management (PPM) practices.
  • Experience working in Agile or sprint‑based delivery environments, including planning, backlog management, reviews, testing and release activities.
  • Hands‑on experience using Azure DevOps, Jira or similar tools to manage user stories, backlogs, defects and delivery progress.
  • Experience facilitating discovery or requirements workshops and translating business needs into clear requirements, user stories and acceptance criteria.
  • Comfortable working directly with developers, technical consultants and solution specialists rather than relying on a separate technical lead to manage all technical conversations.
  • Strong stakeholder management and facilitation skills, with the confidence to lead client conversations, challenge assumptions respectfully and provide clear recommendations.
  • Experience managing scope, budgets, commercial boundaries and change control. Consulting, vendor delivery or fixed‑price project experience is highly regarded.
  • Ability to manage multiple engagements, priorities and stakeholders in a fast‑moving delivery environment.
And here's what we value:
  • People trust you – you solve problems and follow through.
  • You’re curious – you want to understand both the client problem and the technology behind the solution.
  • You’re adaptable – you are comfortable wearing different hats and stepping into what the engagement needs.
  • You embrace challenges– rather than waiting for someone else to solve them.
  • You enjoy working collaboratively– with clients, developers, consultants and the wider Sensei team.
  • You are values-led–contributing positively to an inclusive and supportive workplace.

If you’re passionate about project management and helping clients improve the way they work, we’d love to hear from you!

At Sensei, we’re committed to building a diverse, inclusive, and respectful workplace where everyone has equal opportunities. We believe our differences make us stronger and welcome applicants from all backgrounds.
