Job summary
Catalyst Metals Limited is seeking a Project Geologist to specialize in grade control modelling for an underground operation. You will coordinate drilling activities, mentor field teams and contribute to the mine planning process to optimise production outcomes.
The role requires a strong geology background, 5+ years in mining, and hands‑on experience with 3D modelling tools such as Leapfrog, Vulcan and Surpac. FIFO roster, supportive leadership and ongoing development accompany this opportunity.
Qualifications
- Bachelor of Science in Geology or equivalent.
- Minimum 5 years of relevant mining experience.
- Underground production exposure and basic resource modelling essential.
- Strong interpretation, QA/QC discipline and data integrity focus.
- Experience with Leapfrog, Vulcan, Surpac and GIS packages.
Responsibilities
- Own, coordinate and execute geology Grade Control modelling and assist drilling activities.
- Provide mentorship and coaching to Mine Geologists and Field Staff.
- Contribute to short, medium and long‑term mine plans and schedules.
- Monitor face and drill sample QA/QC quality and follow up issues.
