Job summary

Catalyst Metals Ltd in Western Australia seeks an Underground Mine Geologist reporting to the Senior Mine Geologist. You will collect primary geological data and support safe, cost-effective extraction and growth of the mineral reserve.

This hands-on role involves face mapping, core logging, sampling, QA/QC, and providing daily production data. You will collaborate with engineers, surveyors and operations on site to optimise development and reduce dilution.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in Geology required.
• Current C-class manual driver's license required.
• Underground mine experience preferred (gold).
• Proficiency in 3D geology software SURPAC/Vulcan/Leapfrog.
• Full Australian working rights.

Responsibilities

• Supervise ore extraction to minimise dilution and maximise recovery.
• Perform mapping, sampling, and core logging to guide underground development.
• Provide direction for each face of the underground headings.
• Ensure accurate tracking of ore from mine to ROM.
• Provide accurate daily production data/reporting as required.
• Monitor QA/QC of sampling and assaying processes.
• Maintain strong communication between geological, engineering, survey, and operations teams.
