Job summary

Catalyst Metals is seeking an Underground Mine Geologist to operate within an underground setting, reporting to the Senior Mine Geologist. You will collect geological data, perform face mapping, core logging, sampling, and QA/QC while supporting safe, efficient production and accurate ore tracking.

Ideal candidates have a Geology degree, C-class licence, and underground experience; proficiency in SURPAC, Vulcan, and Leapfrog is essential for interpreting complex ore bodies and contributing to

Qualifications

Bachelor of Science, majoring in Geology.
C-class manual driver's licence.
Underground mine experience preferred (gold).
Proficient with 3D geology software SURPAC/Vulcan/Leapfrog.
Strong time management and stakeholder communication.
Able to work autonomously with site teammates.

Responsibilities

Supervise ore extraction to minimise dilution and maximise recovery.
Conduct face mapping, core logging, sampling and QA/QC.
Provide direction for each face of underground headings.
Track ore from mine to ROM with accurate reporting.
Provide daily production data and QA/QC monitoring.
Maintain strong on-site communication with geology and operations.
