Job description

Liontown Limited (ASX: LTR) is one of Australia's newest and most exciting lithium producers. Our Kathleen Valley Lithium Operation in Western Australia is a world-class, tier-one asset with a 20+ year mine life — and we're now building on that foundation through a significant staged expansion.

The expansion is underway. Early works have commenced, a 5.5MW ball mill is on order, underground development of the Northwest Flats orebody is progressing, and a dedicated project team is being assembled to deliver the next phase of Liontown's growth. These are 2-year maximum term roles, created specifically for our expansion plans.

This is a rare chance to join a fast-moving, dedicated project team at the very beginning of a major capital programme. The expansion will progress in stages, and new workfronts will open up as the project develops — and there's genuine opportunity to move between areas as scope evolves.

You’ll work across underground development, surface infrastructure, and processing plant upgrades in a single assignment. If building your site-based project delivery experience on a real, live capital programme is what drives you, this is the role.

What you’ll be doing
  • Leading end-to-end delivery of complex, higher-value work packages from FID through to commissioning and operational handover
  • Designing and refining execution approaches, drawing on constructability input, lessons learned, and programme-level alignment
  • Managing contractors across the full cycle: scopes of work, tender strategy, commercial evaluation, performance oversight, and claims management
  • Developing and managing detailed schedules and cost forecasts, identifying critical path risks, and driving recovery strategies
  • Coordinating with operations, engineering, and supply chain teams to manage interfaces and ensure seamless delivery
  • Mentoring and coaching Project Engineers, building capability and a high-performing team culture
  • Providing clear, accurate project reporting to Project Managers and the broader leadership team
What we are looking for
  • Tertiary qualification in engineering — mechanical, civil, electrical, process, mining, or a related discipline (we consider a broad range of engineering backgrounds)
  • Proven experience delivering complex or higher-value capital works in mining, minerals processing, or comparable heavy industry through EPCM or direct delivery models
  • Strong contractor and commercial management capability: tender strategy, contract administration, variation management, and accountability
  • Experience on brownfields or operating sites, including managing simultaneous operations, shutdowns, and tie-in activities
  • The ability to work independently, exercise sound judgement, and constructively challenge when needed
  • A genuine interest in developing others — mentoring, technical coaching, and helping those around you grow
  • Project management certification (PMP, PRINCE2, or equivalent) desirable
  • Current Australian driver's licence and ability to satisfy standard WA mine site induction, ticketing, and medical requirements
