Job summary

Eaton seeks a Project Engineer – Prefabrication & Integration PMO to drive technical coordination for prefabricated and integrated solutions across the ANZ Electrical Sector. The role involves acting as a key customer-facing interface and assistant project manager on multi-vendor packages, managing technical governance and ensuring alignment with contract scope.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical, Mechanical, Mechatronics or Systems Engineering, or an equivalent tertiary qualification.
• At least three years of experience in project engineering, systems engineering or technical delivery within electrical/modular sectors.
• Experience with integrated electrical equipment packages, substations or packaged switchrooms is highly regarded.
• Strong knowledge of electrical engineering including LV/MV power distribution and modular packaging concepts.
• Intermediate proficiency in MS Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Project, SharePoint and Visio.
• Experience using ERP systems such as SAP.

Responsibilities

• Deliver project technical requirements and coordination in line with the PMO Delivery Model.
• Assist project management across assigned projects, supporting schedule tracking and technical governance.
• Serve as frontline technical contact for client engineering teams; lead technical reviews and clarification workshops.
• Review customer specifications, contract schedules and scope matrices to capture requirements.
• Review vendor submittals to confirm compliance with client specs and Eaton standards.
• Identify and resolve interferences between third-party enclosures and internal equipment before fabrication.
• Coordinate technical inquiries with clients, consultants, internal teams and fabricators.
• Track production progress and long-lead deliveries to maintain schedule alignment.
• Coordinate testing, including factory acceptance tests and handover documentation.
• Support on-site teams with interfaces, punch lists and integration challenges.
