Job summary

Endfire Engineering Pty is seeking a Project Engineer to join our North Queensland team. You will support delivery of fire protection and mechanical systems across a range of commercial and infrastructure projects, working with Project Managers and site teams from Cairns or Townsville.

The role focuses on installation, testing, and commissioning, with hands-on site coordination and documentation support. Mechanical/E&M background and strong communication are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or related discipline.
• 3+ years in a project engineering role within construction, M&E or fire protection.
• Experience with fire protection or M&E installations is highly regarded.
• Experience on commercial and infrastructure projects and strong site coordination.

Responsibilities

• Support delivery of fire protection and mechanical systems in construction projects.
• Review drawings, specs and engineering documentation.
• Coordinate subcontractors, suppliers and site teams.
• Procurement activities: POs, sourcing materials, supplier deliveries.
• Monitor progress to meet schedule and quality requirements.
• Assist with RFIs, technical queries and engineering documentation.
• Support testing and commissioning activities for fire protection systems.
• Maintain accurate project records.
