EDMS Australia in Cairns Design Office is seeking an Experienced Mechanical Engineer to lead end-to-end mechanical system design and delivery in a hands-on regional setting.

You will drive concept through to commissioning, applying Australian standards and collaborating with project managers, designers and site teams to deliver practical, quality outcomes while ensuring safety and constructability.

Qualifikationen

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent.
• Experience designing and delivering mechanical systems in industrial, infrastructure, or heavy fabrication environments.
• Strong CAD skills (SolidWorks, Inventor) and analysis tools (FEA/CFD).
• Excellent communication and leadership, mentoring junior engineers.

Aufgaben

• Lead mechanical engineering solutions from concept to commissioning.
• Perform load, stress, and thermal analyses using CAD/FEA tools.
• Develop and review engineering docs, calculations, and test plans.
• Ensure compliance with Australian standards and client specs.
• Collaborate with project managers, designers, and fabrication teams.
• Provide technical support during fabrication, installation and commissioning.
