Job summary

Workfast is seeking an experienced Project Engineer in Townsville, QLD to lead civil infrastructure delivery with a strong Transport and Main Roads background. You will support project managers, site teams, subcontractors and clients to ensure successful, on-time delivery.

This role offers work on major infrastructure projects across North Queensland, a company vehicle, and a negotiable salary package reflecting your experience.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years' experience in civil or project engineering.
• Degree in Civil Engineering or related discipline.
• Experience delivering Transport and Main Roads (TMR) projects.
• Strong understanding of civil construction methodologies and project delivery.
• Experience with project specs, drawings, quality docs, and technical requirements.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Strong organisational and time management skills.
• Ability to work autonomously within a project team.
• Strong commercial awareness of project costs and variations.
• Current Australian Driver's Licence and working rights.

Responsibilities

We are currently seeking an experienced Project Engineer with a strong background in civil construction and TMR projects. You will play a key role in supporting the successful delivery of projects, working closely with project managers, site teams, subcontractors, suppliers and clients.

Key Responsibilities

Provide engineering support across civil construction and infrastructure projects.

Assist with the planning, coordination and delivery of project works.

What You Bring to the Team

Minimum 5 years' experience in civil engineering or project engineering roles.

Degree qualification in Civil Engineering or a related discipline.

Demonstrated experience delivering Transport and Main Roads (TMR) projects.

Strong understanding of civil construction methodologies and project delivery.

Experience working with project specifications, drawings, quality documentation and technical requirements.

Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.

Excellent organisational and time management skills.

Ability to work autonomously while contributing effectively to a project team.

Strong commercial awareness and understanding of project costs and variations.

Current Australian Driver's Licence.

Full Australian working rights.

Ability to pass relevant pre-employment checks.
