Job summary

Workfast is seeking a Project Engineer for a multi-year assignment on a 3:1 roster based in Robinvale, Vic. The role is with a well-known nationwide business in the construction/industrial sector.

The ideal candidate will have a strong safety record and references. You must hold Civil or Structural Engineering qualifications and at least 5 years of project engineering experience, with competency in project management software and contract administration.

Qualifications

• Engineering qualifications in Civil or Structural Engineering are required.
• Minimum 5 years of project engineer experience.
• Competency in Project Management software (e.g., MS Project, Primavera) and cost/control.

Responsibilities

• Assist with preparing project estimates and related documentation.
• Track project performance and regularly evaluate efficiency and quality.
• Help develop, implement, and manage subcontractor and supplier agreements.
• Maintain a balance between cost-effectiveness and productivity to achieve project goals within deadlines.
• Interpret daily work schedules and coordinate staff and contractor activities accordingly.
• Oversee compliance with safe work procedures and perform risk assessments.
• Prepare and communicate quality-related documents, promote best practices, and uphold standards and expectations.
• Contribute to early issue identification and resolution, with the flexibility to adapt to evolving project needs.
• Support on-time project completion within budget by monitoring and managing expenditures.
• Ensure both client and internal quality standards are consistently met.
• Oversee procurement processes and manage the purchasing of required goods and services.

• $71.00 per hour+ Penalties +superannuation
• 3:1 roster
• Meal and accommodation provided

We are working on behalf of our client, who is a successful, well-known and reputable nationwide business that covers industrial, construction, and environmental services and is seeking a Project Engineer.

The ideal candidate will come with strong references and possess an impeccable Safety record.

What you need:

• Australia's full working rights
• Current Driver's Licence
• White card
• Engineering qualifications in Civil or Structural Engineering
• Minimum 5 years of project engineer experience
• Competency in Project Management software (e.g., Microsoft Professional Suite, MS Project, Primavera)
• Experience in Contracts administration and management
• Experience in managing construction scheduling and cost/cash flow management
• Knowledge of safety design in construction, maintenance, and operation.
• Pre-employment Medical Check
• Willing to undergo a National Police check
