Job summary

Next Level Consulting Solutions in Brisbane is seeking a Project Engineer / Civil Engineer to join a growing civil contractor. You will gain exposure, responsibility and a path toward project management as part of a diverse project book across roads, bridges, earthworks and structures.

You’ll work with experienced project people, collaborate with Supervisors and subcontractors, and contribute beyond paperwork through planning, QA, ITPs, NCRs, cost tracking and procurement on short-term lookahead

Qualifications

• Civil Engineer with capability for project responsibility and exposure.
• Experience with mid-tier or Tier 1 civil contractors across roads, bridges, earthworks or structures.
• Willing to work regionally with DIDO/FIFO depending on project.
• Salary range is $130,000–$180,000 plus super.

Responsibilities

Project Engineer / Civil Engineer

We are working with a well-regarded and growing civil contractor to find Engineers who want exposure, responsibility and the opportunity to grow with the business they join.

They deliver a genuinely diverse range of civil infrastructure projects across Queensland and beyond.

Roads. Bridges. Earthworks. Structures. Major regional infrastructure.

It's an interesting project book, and there is plenty more ahead.

This isn't a Tier 1 where an Engineer can disappear into one small piece of a massive project.

It's also well beyond being a small civil contractor.

That middle ground is what makes the opportunity interesting.

You’ll work closely with experienced project people, get exposure to the commercial and delivery sides of construction and have the opportunity to take genuine responsibility as your capability develops.

The business has grown quickly and intends to keep growing. For the right Engineer, that creates somewhere to go.

What you'll be involved in

The fundamentals still matter.

You’ll work across planning and programming, QA, ITPs, NCRs and test records, subcontractor coordination, cost tracking, variations, procurement and short-term lookaheads.

But we’re not looking for someone whose contribution stops at paperwork.

We want an Engineer who understands what is happening outside the site office, builds relationships with Supervisors and subcontractors and wants to understand how a successful project is actually delivered.

Who are we looking for?

There is some flexibility here, which is why the salary range is deliberately broad at $130,000–$180,000 + super.

You might be a Civil Engineer ready to step into greater project responsibility.

You might already be an established Project Engineer looking for broader exposure and a pathway towards Project Management.

Ideally you will bring experience with a mid-tier or Tier 1 civil contractor across roads, bridges, earthworks or structures.

Major road infrastructure experience will certainly be well regarded.

Regional work forms part of the business, so you also need to be open to DIDO/FIFO depending on the project.

A company vehicle or vehicle allowance can form part of the package depending on experience.
