Job summary

ProFound People represents a market-leading Building Management Systems integrator delivering projects across Melbourne, including data centres. They are growing their Projects team and seeking a Project Engineer to drive design through commissioning with clients and project managers.

The role takes ownership of technical delivery, from points lists and control diagrams to onsite testing, with a path for both mid-level and experienced engineers. Hybrid work between site and office is offered.

Qualifications

• Trade or tertiary qualification in Mechanical, Electrical, Control Systems, Computer Science or a related field.
• Niagara Tridium AX/N4 certification highly desirable.
• Proven experience engineering and commissioning BMS systems.
• Experience integrating with HVAC, IT, IP networks, fire, security or CCTV systems.
• Strong understanding of BACnet, LON and Modbus protocols.
• Current driver's licence and White Card.
• A proactive, solutions-driven approach and strong communication with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Develop and program BMS solutions using Tridium N4, BACnet, Modbus, LON and other open protocols.
• Interpret mechanical, electrical and ICT documentation to build points lists, functional descriptions, control diagrams and product selections.
• Design with energy efficiency, scalability, serviceability and operational reliability front of mind.
• Deliver onsite commissioning and testing, resolving technical issues as they come up.
• Support integration between BMS and third-party systems such as HVAC, fire, security, CCTV, access control and IT networks.
• Attend and contribute to client meetings, clarifying requirements and resolving concerns directly.
• Work alongside Project Managers to develop alternate engineering solutions during change order management.
• Contribute to project planning to keep scope, schedule and cost on track.

Our client is a market-leading Building Management Systems integrator with strong current activity in data centres and major projects across Melbourne. They're growing their Projects team and looking for a Project Engineer to help deliver.

This role takes ownership of technical delivery from design through to commissioning, working closely with Project Managers and clients to make sure solutions are built right, delivered on time, and set up to run reliably long after handover. It's open to applications from mid level through to experienced engineers, so whether you're a few years in or well established, there's a path here.
