Job summary

New Venture Recruitment in Melbourne is seeking a BMS Project Engineer / Project Manager to oversee engineering and project delivery across Melbourne with remote options. The role combines engineering design, programming, and on-site coordination, reporting to the Head of Projects.

Qualifications

• Experience delivering end-to-end engineering on BMS projects.
• Strong project coordination and client liaison skills.
• Knowledge of BMS hardware and software, especially Niagara Tridium (Niagara N4) is a plus.
• Subcontractor procurement and payment experience is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Solutions design, FD drawings, and points lists for BMS projects.
• Equipment selection, programming, graphics, and commissioning.
• Commercial and contractual management of projects, including variations and claims.
• Client and subcontractor management across Melbourne sites and remote work.

BMS Project Engineer / Project Manager | Remote & sites in the Melbourne CBD

Company

National BMS contractor with over 20 years' presence in the Melbourne market, delivering projects for major REITs and commercial building owners.

Position

Reporting into the Head of Projects, this role will cover both engineering and project management duties for projects across Melbourne, with additional engineering support available for larger projects.

Main responsibilities will include:

• Solutions design
• FDs
• Points lists
• Equipment selection
• Programming
• Graphics
• Commissioning
• Commercial and contractual management of projects
• Client and subcontractor management

You

To be successful, you will have worked in a similar role delivering end-to-end engineering on BMS projects.

• Subcontractor procurement and payment management
• Client management and coordination
• Commercial management including variations, negotiations and claims
• Construction programming and coordination with other trades

Experience with Tridium Niagara would be desirable; however, training and support can be provided.
