Job summary

Regal Innovations is seeking a Project Engineer to support delivery of civil construction projects across Australia. You will work with Site Managers and Project Managers to coordinate staff, manage documentation, and ensure safety, quality, and on-time delivery.

The role requires reading technical drawings, QA and WHS knowledge, and a driver license with White Card. We offer a Monday–Friday schedule, access to modern equipment, mentoring, and opportunities on Tier 1 projects.

Qualifications

• Qualifications in Civil Construction, Landscape Construction or a related field.
• Proficient in reading and interpreting technical drawings, specifications, and contract documentation.
• Current Driver's Licence and Construction White Card.
• Highly organized with strong time-management skills and ability to manage multiple priorities.
• Collaborative team player with excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Understanding of QA, WHS and environmental compliance.

Responsibilities

• Assist Site Managers and Project Managers in coordinating staff and subcontractors.
• Quantify and order materials to meet milestones and ensure smooth progression.
• Review and interpret contract documents, including specifications and drawings.
• Prepare and submit schedules and programs, QA records, RFIs, ITPs, and OMMs.
• Maintain document control and compliance records for streamlined execution.
• Assist in developing construction methodologies and safety documentation.
• Track and monitor project costs for budget oversight.
• Collaborate on tender submissions with accurate documentation.
• Provide project administration support, including supplier quotes and procurement.
• Enhance responsiveness to emergency situations, including after-hours.

Regal is looking for Project Engineers to help deliver high-quality civil construction projects safely, efficiently, and on schedule. The expected salary for this role is $110,000 - $130.000 per annum plus superannuation.

In this role, you will play a key part in supporting project delivery, ensuring efficiency, safety, and quality while working alongside experienced Site Managers and Project Managers.

Key Responsibilities

As a Project Engineer, you will be responsible for:

• Assisting Site Managers and Project Managers in managing and coordinating staff and subcontractors.
• Accurately quantifying and ordering materials to ensure smooth project progression and meet or exceed milestones.
• Reviewing and interpret contract documents, including specifications, drawings, and technical plans.
• Prepare and submitting key project documentation, such as schedules / programs (micro and macro), quality assurance records, RFIs, ITPs, and OMMs.
• Maintaining document control and compliance records to ensure streamlined project execution.
• Assisting in developing construction methodologies and preparing safety documentation.
• Tracking and monitoring project costs to support budget management and financial oversight.
• Collaborating with team members on tender submissions, ensuring all documentation is completed accurately and on time.
• Providing project administration support, including obtaining supplier quotes and managing procurement processes.
• Enhancing responsiveness to emergency situations, ensuring timely and effective action regardless of whether they occur during business hours or after-hours.
• Maintaining a professional and respectful rapport with clients, superintendents, and all project stakeholders.

Skills & Experience

• Qualifications in Civil Construction, Landscape Construction or a related field.
• Proven experience in civil works, landscape construction or infrastructure projects.
• A current Driver's Licence and Construction White Card.
• Proficient in reading and interpreting technical drawings, specifications, and contract documentation.
• Knowledgeable in safety standards, risk assessments, and compliance practices.
• A holder of a valid driver's license and White Card
• Highly organised with strong time-management skills, able to manage multiple priorities effectively.
• A collaborative team player with excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Detail-oriented with a problem-solving mindset, able to think critically and proactively address challenges.
• In depth understanding of Quality Assurance (QA), Workplace Health & Safety (WHS), and environmental compliance.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office and AutoCAD (or similar).
