Job summary

Regal Innovations is seeking a hands-on Machine Operator/Tradesman to support planting and grounds maintenance across multiple sites. You will operate heavy machinery and perform landscape construction tasks to meet safety and quality standards.

Responsibilities include grading, drainage, paving, planting; collaborating with team; maintaining equipment; and completing records for Site Manager. Adherence to WHS policies is essential.

Qualifications

• Proven landscape construction or related trade experience.
• Desirable qualifications in Landscape Construction, Parks & Gardens, or Horticulture.
• Current Driver’s Licence and Construction White Card.
• Certifications in Excavator or Skid Steer operations.
• Desirable certifications in Working from Heights and EWP.

Responsibilities

• Operate heavy machinery (excavators, loaders, skid steers) for landscaping tasks.
• Perform landscape construction duties: grading, drainage, paving, planting.
• Collaborate with team and follow instructions on softscape and hardscape projects.
• Ensure all tasks comply with safety standards and are completed efficiently.
• Maintain and inspect machinery and tools, reporting issues as needed.
• Assist in diagnosing site issues like drainage and soil conditions.
• Record work progress and report to Site Manager or Supervisor.

Regal is looking for hands-on Machine Operator/Tradesman to support all aspects of planting and grounds maintenance across multiple sites.

In this role, you will be responsible for performing a wide range of landscaping tasks, ensuring the efficient use of machinery and tools to meet high standards of quality and safety. You will play a key role in delivering exceptional results on our landscaping projects.

Key Responsibilities

As a Machine Operator/Tradesman, you will be responsible for:

• Operating heavy machinery such as excavators, loaders, and skid steers for various landscaping tasks.
• Performing landscape construction duties, including grading, drainage, paving, and planting.
• Collaborating with team members and follow instructions to complete both softscape and hardscape projects.
• Ensuring all tasks are completed safely, efficiently, and in accordance with industry standards.
• Carrying out maintenance and inspections of machinery and tools to ensure they are in good working condition.
• Assisting in diagnosing and solving site issues, including drainage problems, soil conditions, and plant health.
• Maintaining accurate records and report work progress to the Site Manager or Supervisor.

Skills & Experience

• Qualifications in Landscape Construction, Parks & Gardens, or Horticulture (desirable).
• A current Driver’s Licence and Construction White Card.
• Relevant operator certifications (e.g. excavator or skid steer).
• Certifications in Working from Heights, Rope Access and EWP (desirable).
• Proven experience in landscape construction or similar trade.
• Strong operating experience on civil landscaping projects.
• Extensive experience operating landscaping machinery and equipment.
• Good communication and teamwork skills.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to adapt to different site conditions.
• Attention to detail and a commitment to delivering high-quality work.
• Adheres to WHS policies, ensuring a safe and efficient work environment.
